When  do you enjamb a poem , afte a break in sentence , or a pause  (a comma , or semi-colon )?

Or  when space is a premium or  a printed or typed page ?

Augie:

I love it when I feel enjambment is available to me for my poem. When? when the syllables allow it and when the message requires a bit of mystery to lead the reader on to the next line.

enjambment - (from thr French "stepping over"

The use of a line whose sense and rhythmic movement continues to the next line without an end stop.

example (from one of my poems)

"where three hollows come together to form this open space  (enjambed line)

where families settled  to dig coal for absent owners,"

I feel the poem requiring one to read on to the next line. In this particular poem, the enjambing also allows for these two lines to begin with the same word (where, where)

Hope this helps?
