Fun in the sun

At The Writer we just put the June issue to bed, and the ridiculously balmy (by Wisconsin standards) March weather made it easy for us to connect with one of the articles: a roundup of “25 great beach reads” for the summer.

We deliberately went after a good variety of contributors to this article and I think you’ll find some new titles for your list, regardless of your reading taste. The mix includes suspense novels (but of course), good chick lit, memoir, biography and actors’ autobiographies.

Chipping in with suggestions were Stephanie Dickison, Barbara DeMarco-Barrett, Jeff Ayers and Jack Brady, as well as my magazine colleagues Sarah Lange and Martha Lundin and yours truly.
