By
now, most of you have heard about the sad demise of Borders
bookstores. If you’re one of the many readers who regularly bought your copy of
The Writer at a Borders, we
don't want to lose you. Our circulation department has put together a list of
alternate sales outlets, so if you don't know where to buy your copy, please
email Jerry Burstein, our single copy sales director, at jburstein@kalmbach.com, and
he'll refer you to the outlet nearest your home. And of course, it's always a
good time to subscribe to The Writer and have it delivered to your door.
We are still committed to providing readers with a print issue of The Writer, and that will not change. The folding of Borders,
however, makes the challenges of newsstand selling all the more obvious and
clarifies the need to reach our readers in new ways. Since June, The Writer has
been available on Barnes & Noble’s e-reader, the Nook, as both single issues
and subscriptions. (Barnes & Noble also offers free Nook apps for the iPad
and Android tablets.) Look for more ways to read The Writer in coming months!

I bought The Writer from MPH Bookstore. But sadly, there are not many copies. And I often miss many issues of The Writer.

You need a subscription or you can read them right here online.
Maybe you could add this magazine to your holiday wish list!
Enjoy

Yes I bought the Writer at Borders and it is a tragedy to lose so many book stores - But I'm still hoping for a miracle - a comeback maybe in a couple of years or so...because the one near me - Newark - always did good business and offered its book lovers exactly what a book store should! It was so sad that to deal with the loss I wrote a 3000 word article about what this tragedy means to me :-(

I am glad The Writer is committed to publishing issues in print. I prefer magazines and books to e-readers.
