Hey!
Although ive met few writers in person, i would have to say that as a writer myself, i believe all of us feel that no one truly "understands" us. The first few times i wrote a full length understandable story, my friends laughed at me when i let them read it. Over the year, ive found that if you simply continue writing, you will continue to improve. I found that out after very recently, i let 2 of my friends and even a random stranger read the climax of my soon to be finished novel..they liked it and are still begging me to finish them. my advice..ignore the people that laugh because who knows?? they might be jelous of your works. Or you might just need to write a few more books for expierence..either way, i'll pray for you and i hope you continue to write!
After all..."the trick isnt becoming a writer, its staying a writer." (idk who i got that from, but i heard it somewhere and liked it.)
