Need playwriting forum

Hello:

I would love to see some writing forums on playwriting. I see articles in your magazine on a wide variety of topics, but nothing for playwriting. And how about a contact personon your staff who is a playwriting expert to offer guidance and support to us struggling with the art of playwriting? Also, why isn't there a Playwriting course offered on your online writing classes? I'd love to take one if you ever offer it.

I love your magazine and will continue to subscribe

Thanks for reading this post.

Sincerely,
Rob McCabe--Storyteller/Writer/Performance Artist/Activist

Re: Need playwriting forum

Hi, Rob!

Thank you for the suggestion for a forum on playwriting. We'll take that under consideration as we revise the forums. I will also mention to our editors your observation that we don't run much on writing plays. Reader comments are always helpful to us when we're deciding what kinds of articles to put in the magazine.

We're glad to hear that you enjoy the magazine!

Sincerely,

Martha Lundin, editorial associate for The Writer

P.S. We don't offer online writing classes; perhaps you could check out Gotham Writers' Workshop (www.writingclasses.com). They do offer a couple online playwriting courses -- one for beginners and one for more advanced playwrights.
