I have been a subscriber for several issues, and never noticed that there was a forum associated with the magazine. Althought the website is shown on the cover, I think it would be nice to have a short write-up of the features available online, and offer an invitation to people to participate in the forums. I've spent an hour browsing the forum, and would love to see more active members here. Replying to posts that are months, or years, old doesn't seem worthwhile--sort of like talking to myself.

I actually posted this suggestion recently, after beginning a subscription and signing up for the forums soon after. I expected a lot more activity than I see here. Surprisingly, I was pointed to other writer's forums. I didn't want other writer's forums; I wanted to get what I'm paying for with The Writer. I feel, as much as we pay for the subscription to The Writer with premium content, (which includes the forums), the staff should be more receptive of promoting the forums. Otherwise, the forums should be deducted from the subscription cost, and become available to the general public.
