Oh, but I do wish I could write puns well. Bennett Cerf is my
beacon in the literary night. My problem is I start giggling in
my head as I'm writing and it all goes down hill from there.
I
try to write good stories, whatever the genre. There's
three parts in Historical Fiction, one in Sci-Fi, several in the
challenges. You'll find a couple deleted, as they were just
sitting around collecting dust and I thought I'd slip them back into
the manila folder for awhile.
I really, really would like to write a mystery. Love to be able
to follow Linda's leaning and write a thriller. But the same pun
problem comes up. Instead of giggles however, I get so involved
with, "Ooh, Ooh! I know what's going to happen..."
Mysteries appeal mostly, because I know those wise and wonderful
adventurous detectives are all down in Florida, living aboard The
Busted Flush and driving poor Travis Magee crazy. I'd like to
pick up just one of the many fallen torches and carry on their authors'
traditions.
What's on your platter(s)?
