Nov. 18, 2008: A big honor for our poetry columnist
I'm thrilled to share some good news about one of our contributing editors. Marilyn Taylor, who writes our popular bimonthly Poet to Poet column, has been named poet laureate of Wisconsin by Gov. Jim Doyle. Marilyn, an associate lecturer and adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, is the author of six poetry collections, including Subject to Change (2004) and the upcoming Going Wrong (July 2009), and has received numerous poetry awards.

She also served as poet laureate of the city of Milwaukee in 2004-2005. Marilyn leads workshops at the Redbird Studio in Milwaukee and the Bjorklunden Seminar Center in Door County, Wis., as well as at venues across the country. Congratulations, Marilyn!
