Eager to netwok and learn
I'm a retired high school English teacher.  For the past six years I have freelanced as a columnist for the Wisconsin Education Association Council.  For the past two years I have been a regular columnist for the Kenosha News, my city's paper.  My column, "Learning Curve," appears every other week. A long-time friend and colleague and I are compiling and expanding my essays into a collection with the intent of seeking a publisher.  We are neophytes in this arena, and we need advice regarding everything from literary agents to possible publishing houses.  We also have much to contribute to other writers with both  literary and English mechanics/clarity of thought problems. We look forward to sharing with any and all.

Are you offering or do you charge for your help? Just curious.

As to looking for agents, I can probably help you there (been there - done that). Contact me by e-mail using the icon at the bottom of this post. I wish you good luck.

Re: Eager to netwok and learn

Craven,

We don't want to charge anything.  We just want to be able to share information and ideas.  I taught high school English for 33 years.  I actually enjoy working with grammar/mechanics/usage.  As for publishers, let me send you a couple of samples of my work.  It might help suggest to you a possible market.

P.S.  Attached two but not sure if both are here.
