Steampunk?

I would like to let everyone know that Ann and Jeff VanderMeer have released a great book (an anthology) on the Steampunk sub-genre.  Anyone curious about Steampunk can either buy this book (it's a steal at $16.00) or check out steampunkmagazine.org, the website for Steampunk Magazine that introduces you to a lot of the culture and background of what makes Steampunk tick.  This is a genre really worth checking out, especially for science-fiction and fantasy fans.  Enjoy!

Re: Steampunk?

Hello, I have just sent your information to a young "Steampunker" in Montpellier, France. You should know him, as he is very talented. His name is Sam Van Ollfen. He has an exhibition going on in Montpellier for the moment, and he has a weblog:

Re: Steampunk?

I am not a die-hard steampunker (except for the fashion), but I will let my Steampunk group know about the book. We have a once a week Steampunk meeting at our Tinkerer's Society on IMVU.com

 Thanks,

 Maria

PS. Although I am not really into the mad scientist clockwork steam powered science fiction of the genre. I love the high fashioned tricked-out Victorian costumes and music. Check out Abney Park's song "Airship Pirate".
