Upon Awakening

Dawn splits now.

The cobalt opens thick.

Thunderhead slices through nimbus clouds.    

Day’s aplomb.

Helios billowing

westward bound, hauled by horses of fire;

snorting steeds.

Son of Hyperion,

peeping through my shades, like a voyeur.
