I as a subscriber of the magazine do NOT have money for a subscription,. I saved up and subscribed! It was worth it to improve my craft. The information I have gleaned from the articles is priceless. The extra perk of premium forums is a plus!
The idea that subscribers are more serious about thier craft? Well, if you choose to improve it, it doesn't hurt to subscribe to magazines that will help you do that. I do not believe that non-subs. are less serious or inexperienced writers.
I think writers of all levels are important. We all need to begin somewhere. Being able to reach out to other writers and learn from each other is one of the purposes of the forums. Premium forums have many reasons, some we are not aware of. The magazine needs to make money, subscriptions is one of them.
I think their site is a wonderful place to glean information. It is worth the price.
That's just my opinion.
